Moderne – the sleek style of late Art Deco

Laurie’s word is ‘moderne’ a decorative style which had it’s heyday around 1938 at the end of the Art Deco movement. Its sleek lines are rounder – like the glamorous steamships which are it’s crown jewels. In modern jewelry you can see a resurgence in the ‘Streamerica’ line at Tiffany and Co.
